Retail Supervisor 

This is a Part Time or Full Time position.  This position is responsible for all administrative functions relating to the operation of the retail room.  Responsibilities include scheduling and training staff.  Point of Sale system management and interface with financial system.  General logistic management and enhancement of present systems. Occasional staffing as part of day to day responsibilities would be required.  See description below for general requirements.

Part Time Retail / Tour Guides

You love the idea of being part of an exciting new business that is on the cutting edge of the microbrewing industry, but you have a job;  a career that has treated you well and where your area of expertise lies.  This may be your opportunity!  The Custom BrewCrafters retail room is open 10 - 8PM weekdays and 10-6PM Saturday and 12-6PM Sunday, and business is really booming!  Radio and T.V. advertising is driving the general public out to Honeoye Falls to see how we are changing the way beer is perceived in the western New York marketplace!   We need personable, outgoing staff that can greet these people and educate as well as entertain them.

The positions we have available are:

Tasting guides;  Serving samples and educating the customers.  You will need to talk with the public as you serve them their samples.  You must enjoy interacting with the public.  This is not so much public speaking (if that's for you, see tour guide position below.), as it is being conversant on a one-on-one basis with customers.

Greeters and Tour Guides;  More of a speaking function.  This is an entertainers role with a focus on ensuring customers enjoyment and education about our beers and beer in general.    It is a fun part of the job and the business.  Its not just telling people how beer is made, but also informing them about some history and even folklore.  The job is not really for the shy person, but don't feel like you have to be a professional speaker.  The more you can relate on a personal level with our customers, the more comfortable they will feel!  That's what we're looking for!

Cashiers; This is a typical transaction based position.  Past cashiering experience on a P.O.S. system would be helpful.  A general understanding of beer (and love of craft beer) is desired.

Do you pay in beer, you ask?  Let's just say the beer benefit is an exciting part of the package.  Hourly pay, involvement in festivals and other regular recreational outings to support our partners in the market (see Customer List), round out your part-time experience.

Must I like beer?  YES!  Obviously we need to talk to our customers about the different products as they are sampling.  Although product descriptions are available for your reference, you will be continually educated about the different facets of beer and the brewing process, and as part of the customer experience, you need to give them your opinion of the different styles and products we offer.
